About Spinal Decompression Treatment

Disc Herniation treatment equipment Bridgeport, WV

The spinal decompression systems help to establish a vacuum pressure between discs. Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression, not to be confused with linear traction, slowly lengthens and decompresses the spine, creating negative pressures within the discs. This pressure reversal creates a vacuum that helps to re-position bulging discs and pull extruded disc material back into place, taking pressure off pinched nerves.

During the treatment, you will be fitted with a comfortable harness and slowly lowered down to a supine (on your back) position. The system will slowly pull and release tension over 15-20 minutes. A typical treatment plan involves 24-30 sessions per damaged disc.

Supportive Therapies for Spinal Disc Injuries

Based on your particular case, supportive therapies may be prescribed to assist in your healing process.

Laser therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy works to stimulate the damaged muscles, ligaments, nerves, bones, joint and soft tissue to re-grow and heal injured cells and tissues. Those who experience an increase in joint mobility and will begin to notice a reduction in inflammation, allowing them to return to their pre-injury state without relying on drugs or surgery.

Nutritional Support

Proper nutrients are needed to ensure that the discs have the building blocks to heal. We provide you with the nutritional support to assist in your healing process.

Abdominal Core Strengthening

Long term stabilization relies on proper biomechanics and balance between the abdominal and low back muscles. We utilize techniques that have been proven and published in peer reviewed journals.
